I have been working with Aberdeen for a Fairer World for a number of years as I took part in a Global Learning partnership programme which involved a 4 week placement at a school in rural Rwanda five years ago.
MDEC supported this and were involved in the training sessions prior to our summer placement.
I have also been involved in a Connecting Classrooms project with the school I was linked with during my GLP placement. This was a fantastic learning experience.
The opportunity to live and work in the community of a school in Rwanda was one I will never forget. I still have weekly conversations with staff at the school I was at. This was honestly an incredible experience.
Currently I’m working on promoting the Global Goal 3 Good Health and Wellbeing with my P7 class and we are just away to launch upon Global Goal 13 Climate Action.
I have attended many CPD sessions with Aberdeen for a Fairer World and have used their resources a lot over the years. I’ve been at fantastic sessions that you can chat and share ideas and find out about what’s going on locally.
