I was very lucky to engage in the Peace Prevails training with a colleague. It gave us the opportunity to reflect on how we approach the concepts of peace within our classrooms. Undertaking the programme of study has been great in school and well received by our learners. It has given us the chance to really talk and explore what peace means to us as individuals, as members of a class, a family, a school community and then globally. Our learners have become more confident in how they express their thoughts and feelings with regard to living a peaceful life and have engaged very well with all aspects of the programme. Our learners are proud to be part of a Peace movement and can make connections with what they do in relation to the Peace Prevails programme, the Global Goals and the UNCRC. Peace Prevails has been an amazing platform for our learners to explore and be part of a world of global citizens. We have had wonderful support from Peace Prevails and we are looking forward to embedding the programme more this year in our school.
