As a school we took part in a whole school in-service day training programme which outlined the global goals and how, as a school we will incorporate these into our daily teaching practise ensuring awareness is raised throughout the school and the wider environment. The staff also took part in a Scotdec training session which was extremely useful in guiding us through a variety of resources that can be used as well as different teaching methods that could be adopted into our teaching and learning activities.
As well as this, The youngest of our learners at comely park took part in a mini sustainability topics based around the well-known children’s stories Percy the Park Keeper. The children were introduced to the idea of what a goal is and explored ways in which to help Percy keep the park and wildlife safe and what we could do as a community to help with this project.

Another letter arrived from Percy the Park keeper today. We had to help him decide essential items that he would need in his backpack to help him keep the park safe and also help the wildlife. @ScotdecLearning @LfSScotland @TheGlobalGoals @GlobalGoalsUN Goal 15-Life on Land 🌳 pic.twitter.com/g5yzrOhyvf

Percy the Park Keeper delivered a letter to us today asking for us to help him pack his backpack. We had to think about things that would help him to care for the animals and the environment. 🌎🦔🐰🎒 @MissMooreCPS pic.twitter.com/mTfFP0Av9m
